Alternative Content is the name for the exciting special events being shown at cinemas that are equipped with new digital cinema technology. This equipment allows screenings of shows as diverse as opera, music concerts and sporting events, often as one-night-only shows, and sometimes live by satellite from anywhere in the world.

For audiences, this means the chance to see great events, up close and personal, in pristine digital cinema quality, without having to travel hundreds of miles, and all for the price of a cinema ticket.
